While Dysport injections are considered less expensive than Botox, Dysport also contains a smaller botulinum toxin dose. This can translate to patients needing an increased amount of Dysport to achieve their desired results.

While both Botox and Dysport injections can be used to reduce wrinkling of the forehead, the results of Dysport are typically visible in just a few days, usually within 24 to 48 hours. Because Dysport is approximately 1/3 as strong as Botox, its effects will last approximately 1/3 as long, though this may differ on a case by case basis. It is essential to recognize that the outcome of each type of treatment will vary by patient.
