What Is Halo?
Halo is Sciton’s hybrid fractional laser. It delivers two wavelengths to the same treatment zone: a 1470 nm non-ablative wavelength that works in the deeper layers of the skin, and a 2940 nm ablative wavelength that resurfaces the outer layer.
Each wavelength is adjusted independently, so your provider can match the treatment to your skin: deeper work for sun damage and collagen, and surface work for texture and pores.
What Halo Treats
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun damage, sun spots and discoloration
- Uneven texture and enlarged pores
- Scars
Halo can be used on the face, neck, chest, hands, arms and legs.
What to Expect
A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment, and cooling is used during it to keep you comfortable.
Most patients need 1 to 2 sessions. Plan for 5 to 7 days of downtime: expect redness and swelling at first, followed by a rough, bronzed texture as treated skin sheds. Schedule Halo around important events, and protect your skin from the sun while it heals.
Results continue to improve in the weeks after treatment as new skin forms. Many patients maintain results with Halo or Moxi once or twice a year.
