Jumana is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a Master’s in Nursing. She spent more than five years in dermatology surgery before focusing on aesthetic medicine.
Ellie Markos, LE
Ellie is a licensed esthetician and laser technician who completed a Certified Dermatology Technician program with Forefront Dermatology. Her goal is to help every client look and feel their best after each treatment.
What Is BBL HEROic?
BBL HEROic is the latest generation of Sciton’s BroadBand Light (BBL), an advanced form of pulsed light therapy. It delivers light energy evenly across the treatment area to target pigment and redness in the skin, while built-in cooling keeps treatments comfortable.
Because it can be used on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands and other areas of the body, BBL HEROic is a versatile option for anyone who wants clearer, more even-looking skin.

What to Expect
During treatment, your provider glides the handpiece over your skin while a chilled crystal cools the surface. Most patients feel little discomfort, and treated skin may feel warm for a short time afterward.
Most patients need 3 to 6 sessions, depending on their skin and goals. Plan for 1 to 3 days of downtime: treated skin can look pink and feel like a mild sunburn, and brown spots often darken before they flake away. Protect your skin from the sun and wear sunscreen daily while it heals.
Results build gradually in the weeks after each session as your skin renews itself.
BBL HEROic and Moxi
BBL HEROic can be paired with Moxi, a gentle fractional laser, to address pigment and texture together. Your provider will let you know at your consultation whether combining the two suits your skin.
